NCR Specialty Retail offers retailers a set of tools to operate their business efficiently, engage with customers effectively, and conduct sales seamlessly. CPMobile is a collection of mobile applications available on the Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad iOS platform (iOS 11.0 required) that integrates directly with the NCR Counterpoint point of sale and retail management solution. Providing customizable features, retailers can select options ranging from a straightforward item and customer lookup tool to mobile point of sale and inventory management functionalities.

• The Item & Customer Lookup module enables retailers to access price and inventory information remotely via their mobile devices, retrieve customer data, or add new customer details to the database. This facilitates direct interaction with customers on the sales floor, eliminating the need to return to the office or checkout counter for basic inquiries. The module operates seamlessly with just a mobile device and a wireless network connection to NCR Counterpoint.
• The CPMobile POS module grants retailers the flexibility to conduct transactions anywhere. Whether used for expedited checkout experiences through "line-busting" or to empower cashiers to act as sales associates by engaging customers beyond the register, this module supports efficient sales closures on the spot. Moreover, CPMobile POS extends selling capabilities beyond the store premises — ideal for sidewalk sales, community events, trade-shows, ensuring real-time inventory updates and payment processing. The CPMobile Inventory Management module further streamlines accurate physical inventory counts for detailed real-time inventory tracking.

Accompanying CPMobile are integrated chip and magnetic-stripe credit card readers that attach to the mobile device, facilitating swift credit card processing. Various receipt printing methods are available, including mobile printers, alongside the option to email receipts directly to customers. For scenarios not necessitating barcode scanning, a magnetic stripe credit card swipe device compatible with iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone can be obtained separately.

• REQUIREMENTS – To utilize CPMobile, you must be an NCR Counterpoint POS customer running NCR Counterpoint 8.4.6.10 or newer (8.5.2 or higher required for certain CPMobile features) with Mobile Services utility deployed to the POS server.
• Integration with iSMP4 necessitates Counterpoint 8.5.6.2 or above.
• For card payments processing: Counterpoint version 8.5.7 or later, a payment terminal iSMP4 or Link\2500, and a Secure Pay account are mandatory.

Activation of CPMobile occurs upon registration on the NCR Specialty Retail website. Optional hardware compatible with CPMobile can be acquired through authorized NCR Specialty Retail resellers.
